Who is this Lynette Shepherd?

Welcome and I’m so happy you’re here. I feel It’s important for you to know who I am in order to build trust so we can work together on your health journey. I am the real deal, a normal, (some may say that’s debatable) woman in her early 60s. I am not a health freak that lives in a food bubble, works out 24 hours a day, doesn't consume a drop of sugar, eat carbs, or drink alcohol ever! Nope, that’s definitely not me.


This website is for you. Are we destined to be a part of each other's new story? I think we are! I am on a mission to change lives. I am looking for people who want what I have to offer. I want you to be the next transformation, the next hero of the story.

OK short version. I was a party girl for many years, smoked cigarettes, drank a lot, and only ate carbs. I completely abused my body with all those toxins with no nutrition. Seriously, very little fresh fruits, vegetables or protein. The thought just kills me today! Friends used to say, “Geez you party kind of hard for someone who is so healthy!” I used to say that I drank for a living! Oh my gosh. Embarrassing! This is someone who thought she was healthy. I have to say this was all before I met my handsome husband (and knew I had to get really healthy to have kids.) Because I worked out regularly, the food pyramid said “grains were the best” and I maintained a size 6/7/8. I thought I was healthy. Ha – was I wrong! I was basically killing myself, seriously. I should be dead or at least look old and wrinkled. Isn’t it funny that we think if we look good we are healthy. Well, that’s a lie. There are things going on inside of us that we are totally unaware of. I learned that I was actually a skinny fat person. Yep that is a real thing!

After quitting smoking, drastically reducing alcohol consumption and eating better I had two great pregnancies and deliveries. But when I got pregnant with my third, at 40, I got gestational diabetes. All that carb consumption and constant insulin response wore my pancreas down to where I couldn’t produce enough insulin for me and my baby. This is why so many people are insulin resistant and Type 2 diabetics! After adjusting my diet even more and eliminating foods that would incite an insulin response; I was able to regulate my blood sugars and avoid having to use insulin. This resulted in gaining only 25 lbs. (I was all baby) yet giving birth to a 9 lbs. baby girl. I was in better shape after having her than ever in my life. I needed to stay this way. I am an older mom and want to be around to be able to play with my Grandkids on the floor and still get up and carry them around. I needed to understand how this happened at a much deeper level!

So what did this mean? 

It means regulating blood sugars is the key to better health, and it burns fat. When we burn fat we change our body composition to have a better ratio of lean muscle to fat therefore correcting our metabolism. What? This was revolutionary to me! And very exciting! And when we correct our metabolism we correct so many other things! Then I learned of a new system, a science-based system, based on education, that taught this concept. I knew I could share this confidently to help other people. A system/concept I believed in because I "accidentally" (or was it?) experienced it myself. So by regulating blood sugars, we can accomplish so many health benefits, the most attractive one being that we lose inches. We get smaller. We look and feel better and younger. And it's designed to deliver real results for real people. Just like you and me.

I am first and foremost a family girl. I love being a wife and mom. I have the kindest, most handsome husband (Danny) & three wonderful kids (Andy, Haley and Sarah) and this journey started because of them. And I love to have fun! I’m crazy and adventurous. I love to cook, eat, drink yet still be healthy!!  I am so grateful to be able to live a life I love. A life of service and helping other people be healthy, youthful, and full of life. I love sharing my personal experiences and all my tips, tricks and recipes that I’ve learned over the past 20 years that will totally correct your metabolism. Truly, I am a blessed woman!
